Retro Indie Market - pics from last month

I've been busy working on things for Odd Duck (which is in less than two weeks!) Sorry for the delay.
Here they are, pictures of my space from the Retro Indie Market that was held at the Boynton Beach Women's Club on February 11th.

My space was beautiful, very bright and picturesque.  I loved that this is the first show EVER that I've actually had room to spread out and even had room to spare!  As you can see, I was half-way up a very wide stairwell and had some killer windows to spotlight my stuff. 

The show was fun and the crowd was great but there is something very un-feng shui about being half-way up a stairwell.  As you can see from the pictures, the space was spectacular but I think people are just programed to keep walking when on a staircase.  I didn't really have anyone to talk to for most of the day, it was kinda lonely.
I wore some really cute shoes, just had to share that.

Because I didn't have a booth helper or any neighbors to watch my booth for me, I wasn't able to get any pics of any of the rest of the show but you can check out Annie's Cupboards blog for some really nice pictures from the show.

Retro Indie Market - Boynton Beach - South Florida

I've already talked about this show here, and here but I'm doing so much sewing and prepping... I just wanted to post about it again.  See you Saturday at the Boynton Beach Women's club, right on Federal Hwy.  Come anytime from 11am to 6pm (but a little birdie told me there will be free goodies for the early folks so try to get there early)

Pin ups in Pink and Red for Valentines Day?

I got an email today from the organizer of the Retro Indie Market asking if we had any photos for the press for a write-up about Valentines Day.  I'm so bummed that I don't have any v-day themed products to photograph for the media.  I LOVE free press and totally wished I had something to contribute.  oh well... But, me being me, I sent some pics to her anyway even though it isn't "Valentines" per se, I sent her some shots of my newest apron which just so happens to be red and pink.  The Retro Indie Market is on Feb 12th, so I can't believe that I hadn't considered the Valentine's day connection before now. 

close enough right?  It could be "Valentine"-ey huh?  I've truly never really been that big on Valentine's Day anyway, I think holidays tend to get over commercialized sometimes and we lose sight of the things that we are supposed to be celebrating.  I don't really care for cut flowers or those nasty chocolates in the cardboard hearts but if my man wants to crack open a bottle of bubbly with me on that day... I'm all in!
So, back to the apron... check out this fabulous fabric!  It is Alexander Henry and I love love LOVE it.  And while you are looking, check out how good of a job I did making sure that the print on the pocket matched up perfectly.

Retro Indie Market

My next craft show is the Retro Indie Market next month in Boynton Beach.  It is just a little over a month away and I am so insanely low on inventory! Between my online sales picking up over the holidays and me discovering that most artists and crafters are willing to trade, I have very little left to offer up at a show.  Also, I keep having these fabulous plush monsters create themselves in my head and I just HAVE to stop the apron production line and make monsters.  Sometimes the creative part of my brain just doesn't listen to the logical side.  I have a show in 5 weeks where I will be selling aprons.  I won't be selling plush at any shows until Odd Duck in April.  You'd think, the logical thing would be to make aprons, right?  Someone, please, help me get back on track!
