StitchRock is only a week and a half away and I'm sewing full steam ahead! In planning my time, I decided that I wasn't going to stop and take the time to photograph the aprons, just keep sewing. But... being easily distracted and so super excited about this apron... I had to share. In a secretly sneaky kind of way, I hope that this one doesn't sell. shhhhh, don't tell anyone, but I've got an opportunity to display a couple of aprons at a local art gallery during the opening night of their Day of the Dead exhibit in early November (more details to come as things get more 'set in stone') so, I was thinking that this one would be perfect for that event.
I love mixing unexpected fabrics. I doubt anyone would have ever purposefully put this striped fabric with this bright Mexican print, but I loved the way it came out. I'm usually not a fan of orange (being a die hard Florida State fan and all... orange represents 2 of our biggest rivals) but I just love the way it draws the eye into the waistline. The cut of this apron is so extra girlie and I decided to to the alternating bust and I just loved the way it came out. See you at Stitch Rock! I'll be upstairs with my aprons and I'm bringing the plush creatures too. You did know I make softies right? Check them out here and here.
