Meow! Leopard print full hostess apron and Recycled too!

A few weeks back when I set out in search of vintage linens for the Vintage Apron Remix and came across a funky find. While at the thrift store digging through a box of linens I came across a full size fitted sheet in leopard print! This sheet was perfect, not faded, not stained or ripped or anything. Lucky me, it was 50% off all linens that day at the thrift store so it was an even better score! Not that the brand matters, but the fact that it was Ralf Lauren was kinda cool too.
As I do with anything I find at a thrift store, I washed it twice in hot hot water before doing anything else. Then, I ripped the seams out and pressed it.
I discovered that a full size sheet is enough fabric to create not one but TWO sexy aprons (both reversible... so does that make it four?) a giant tote bag to carry my packages to the post office, four pot holders and a bag dispenser!
Now if that isn't recycling.... I don't know what is.

I'm keeping the bag, gifted the pot holders & bag dispenser, but you can have an opportunity to own one of the aprons (or both)

After a short break, I'm back to crankin' out aprons!

Well, I don't know how many I'll actually "crank out", but I'm back to work. I took a little time off from sewing because I'm pregnant and had a really rough first trimester. On top of the all-day-long morning sickness, I had a few contract jobs that needed to be finished, so, unfortunately, the aprons had to wait.
So, to kick things back off again I've been working with "recycled" fabrics and am having a blast. This one used to be a set of children's Strawberry Shortcake sheets! I've listed it on eBay with only a $9.99 starting bid so we'll see where that will take us. If it doesn't go on eBay, of course, I'll put it up in my Etsy shop next.
