The other day my two-year-old and I were cruising the fabric store (thankfully, it is one of her favorite places) and all of the sudden she squeals "Cock-a-doodle-doo!"
huh? I look over and she has this baby blue retro looking fabric in her clutches. Sure enough, roosters. Better yet, roosters with polka dots. I wasn't supposed to be buying things that weren't on my list, but who could pass up polka dotted roosters? I snatched it up without a real plan of what will be created from it. Got it home and immediately starting pairing up this bold combination.
I loved the result. Both sides are bold and fun. The top is nylon so it has a bit of a shine to draw attention. And of course, as with all of my work, the seams are finished and totally wearable and washable.
I made two. One to sell in my Etsy shop, and another is listed on eBay. The one on eBay is $5.00 more, but that $5.00 goes to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
